The official tumblr of Foocow's HPRPG, a Harry Potter Roleplay.
Founded in 1997 by Laska, the HPRPG has been home to hundreds of talented Harry Potter fans for well over a decade. We have evolved many times over the years, moving from Angelfire (WOW, old days) to Echelon, to Invisionfree and so many other forums. It's a testament to the strong bonds found within the HPRPG that some current members have been around since the birth of the HPRPG.
The HPRPG is a roleplaying forum which focuses chiefly on writing and plot development. We don't have many 'bells and whistles' like the newer RPGs, with their fancy HTML and post templates, but we have amazing writers, great minds and a sense of true community.
As a text-based RPG, we do require members to use proper grammar and to check their spelling. We also enforce a posting limit to ensure that members who take time to write well-thought posts are not disregarded by a one-sentence poster.
Our current setting is August of 1998, the school year following the Battle of Hogwarts. While Hogwarts is still being rebuilt, students are welcomed back to continue their education with as little interruption as possible. Seventh years of the previous year are given the option to retake the entire year or simply sit exams.
